Staying Healthy this Holiday Season

With the holiday season among us, it’s important that we stay healthy so that we can enjoy it. Nothing is worse than being sick this time of year and being unable to spend quality time with friends and family. Here is a list of things you can do to prevent you or your loved ones from being absent from any holiday festivities this year:

 

1.  Get plenty of sleep! Sleep is what refuels our body and if we don’t get enough of it then we become more vulnerable to illnesses.

2. Drink enough water! Being dehydrated can leave you more vulnerable to being sick! 

3. Keep your hands clean! Using soap and water, and keeping sani-hand wipes nearby on the go will prevent viruses and bacteria.

4. Reduce your stress! Our immune systems don’t function well when we are stressed so try to take it easy this holiday season.

5.  Eat right! Foods with vitamin C will help keep your immune system stronger this time of year, so incorporate fruits and veggies in your weekly diet.
